スバル 「 おっはよ ~ 、 あんず ! 」

 

Subaru: Mornin', Anzu!

 

「 快晴だね ! 絶好のお祭り日和だね ! 夏は世界中がキラキラしてて好きだな ~ ! 」

 

The sun’s out, huh? It’s the perfect weather for a festival! I love the summer--all around the world, everything is sparkly~!

「 冬も雪が積もればキラキラだけどねっ 、 春も秋もそれはそれで大好き ~ …… ☆ 」

 

But when the snow piles up in winter, it’s also super sparkly! I love spring and fall, too, in their own ways~...☆

 

章臣 「 朝から何でそんなにテンションが高いんですか 、 明星くん 」

 

Kunugi: Why have you been this excited since morning, Akehoshi-kun?

 

スパル 「 ひぇっ 、 ヌギヌギ先生がいる ! ? 」

 

Subaru: Hueeh, Nuginugi-sensei’s here?!

 

章臣 「 みょうな渾名で呼ばないでください 、 目上の人間に対して失礼ですよ 」

 

Kunugi: Please don't refer to me with such an odd nickname. It’s rude towards your superiors, you know.

 

「 礼儀礼節を弁えていないと 、 芸能界では長生きできませんからね 」

 

If you cannot practice basic courtesy or civility, you will not last long in the entertainment industry.

 

「 教室ではないのですから 、 馴れ馴れしいのも程々にしなさい 」

 

We’re not in the classroom, so please keep your over-familiarity to a minimum. 

「 仕事の現場では 、 きちんとあんずさんのことも 『 プロデューサー 』 として尊重するように 」

While we’re at the place where we will be working, take care to show Anzu-san the proper respect as well, as the producer.

 

「 軽薄な言動をすれば侮られますし 、 恥をかくのはあなただけではないのですよ ? 」

 

If you act and talk thoughtlessly, they will look down upon  you. You are not the only one who will lose face, understand?

 

スパル 「 う 、 ウッス ! 大丈夫ッス ! 」

 

Subaru: Y-Yes sir! I hear you loud and clear!

 

「 偉いひとと喋るときはホッケ ~ やサリ ~ にお任せして 」

 

When talking to important people, I should leave it to Hokke and Sari.

 

「 俺はひたすら無言で何もかもを悟ったような微笑を浮かべることになってるので ! 」

 

I’ll listen quietly and intently, with a smile on my face like I understand everything!

 

章臣 「 いつまでも人任せではいけませんよ 。 あなたの力量なら 、 ソロの仕事が依頼される可能性はいくらでも有り得ますし 」

 

Kunugi: This is not something you should leave to other people all the time. At your current ability, it's likely that you will be requested to do as much solo work as possible.

 

「 普段 から気をつけて 、 欠点を克服しなさいね 」

 

Always be mindful.  Strive to overcome your weaknesses, as well.

 

「 …… あまり公衆の面前で 、 長々とお説教するのも耳目を集めすぎますね 」

 

...We are in public, so any long sermons would attract undue attention.

 

「 人数も揃ったようなので 、 早めに現場へと向かいましょうか 」

 

It seems everyone is here. Shall we quickly make our way to the town?

 

スパル 「 えっ 、 でもまだサリ ~ がきてないよ ! 」

 

Subaru: Huh? But Sari isn’t here yet!

 

章臣 「 衣更くんはやや遅れそうなので 、 後ほど押っつけ現場に直行する ~ とのことですよ 」

 

Kunugi: It seems Isara-kun will be running a little late, so I am told he will be heading straight to the town soon.

「 どうも彼の幼なじみの朔間くんが寝坊したようで 、 起こすのに手間取っているようですね 」

 

I believe his childhood friend, Sakuma-kun, had overslept, and although he is awake, it will take them a while to make it here.

 

「 まぁ朔間くんのことは 、 衣更くんに任せておけば大丈夫でしょう 」

 

Well, I suppose it will be alright if we leave him to Isara-kun.

 

「 あと家が近所なのは 、 鳴上くんですけど 」

「 彼は別件の仕事 …… グラビア撮影をしており 、 その現場から向かったほうが近いようです 。 なので 、 後ほど合流するでしょう 」

 

He is preoccupied with unrelated work… a gravure shooting, it seems. It appears heading from there would be closer. Therefore, he will be joining us later as well.

 

スパル 「 ………… 」

 

Subaru: ...

 

章臣 「 何ですか明星くん 、 じっと見て …… 。 私の顔に 、 何かついていますか ? 」

 

Kunugi: What is it, Akehoshi-kun? You’re staring at me… Is there something on my face?

 

スパル 「 いや 、 俺らのことをちゃんと知ってるんだな ~ って 。 ヌギ …… 椚先生 、 生徒ことになんか興味ないひとだと思ってた 」

 

Subaru: Nah, I was just thinking that you really know a lot about us, huh? Nugi… Kunugi-sensei, I thought you weren’t really interested in your students.

 

章臣 「 それが仕事ですから 。 これでも 、 ひとの名前などを覚えるのは得意なのですよ 」

 

Kunugi: That is my job. Although it may not seem like it, I excel at remembering people’s names, and the like.

 

「 あなたの渾名で呼ぶ癖も 、 親しみを表現する手段としては良いのですけど 」

 

I understand that your habit of calling people by nicknames is good as a means of expressing friendliness. However…

 

「 嫌がるひともいるので気をつけなさいね 、 TPOを弁えなさい 」

 

There are people who dislike that as well, so please be mindful of that, and know the right TPO.*

スパル 「 はぁい …… 。 でもさ ~ 、 今さらだけど 」

 

Subaru: Alright… But it’s a little too late for that now, huh~.

 

「 今回の仕事って 、 俺たち 『 Trickstar 』 とあの 『 Knights 』 の合同ライブみたいな感じなんよね ? 大丈夫なの ? 」

 

The work we have this time is like a joint live between Trickstar and Knights, right? Is that really okay?

 

「 俺はべつに良いんだけど 、 『 Knights 』 とは 【 DDD 】 からこっち仲悪いからな ~ 」

 

I’m fine with it, but we’ve been on pretty bad terms with Knights since DDD~...

 

「 ぜったい事故る気がする 、 【 デュエル 】 みたいなライブ対決でもないみたいだし 」

 

I have a feeling that there’s definitely going to be some kind of accident, since this isn’t like Duel, a confrontation-type Live.

 

章臣 「 そういうオファーだったのですから 、 仕方ないでしょう 、」

 

Kunugi: This was the offer we received, so there’s no helping it.

 

「 今回の依頼主は校外の地方自治体ですし 、 アイドルどうしの関係性など弁えているわけがありません 」

 

This time, our client was a local government, off-campus, so, of course, there is simply no way they could consider existing relationships between the idols.

 

「 嫌いな相手と 、 無理に仲良くする必要はありませんけどね 」

 

If you dislike the other party, there is no need for you to force yourself to be friends with them.

 

「 せめて 、 喧嘩はしない程度の器用さは身につけてください 。 それは社会人としての 、 必須技能ですよ 」

 

All I ask is that you gain enough sensibility so there will be no fighting. That is a required skill, as a member of society.

 

スパル 「 嫌いってわけじゃないけど ~ 。 『 Knights 』 がすっごい連中だってのは わかってるし 」

 

Subaru: I definitely don’t hate them, though~... I get that Knights is an amazing bunch.

 

「 でもウッキ ~ が心配だな 、 またワカメさんに拉致 ・ 監禁されちゃうかも 」

 

But I’m worried about Ukki… He might get kidnapped and locked away again by seaweed-head-san.

 

章臣 「 ワカメ ? まぁ文句なら 、 こんな仕事を引き受けた 『 プロデューサー 』 に言いなさいね 。 私は単なる同伴者 、 監督役ですから 」

 

Kunugi: Seaweed? Well, if you have any complaints, you should talk to the ‘producer’ in charge of this work. I am simply a supervising chaperone.

 

「 遠方での仕事の際には 、 必ず教師が同行して見守る ~ という規則になっているの です」

 

When we have work in a distant area, it is required for a teacher to be present that must accompany and watch over the students.

 

「 面倒ですけどね 、 せっかくの夏休みだというのに 」

 

It is rather troublesome, though. It’s finally summer vacation, and yet...

 

スパル 「 うい ~ っす 、 お仕事お疲れさんで ~ っす ☆ 」

 

Subaru: Alriiight, thanks for your hard work~☆

 

章臣 「 あなたたちもね 。 …… 明星くん 、 あんずさんの荷物を運んであげなさい 」

 

Kunugi: And to you as well. ...Akehoshi-kun, please carry Anzu-san’s luggage for her.

 

スパル 「 あっうん 、 運ぶ運ぶ ! 任せて ! あんず 、 そのトランクちょ ~ だい ☆ 」

Subaru: Ah, yeah, I’ll carry it, I’ll carry it! Leave it to me! Anzu, hand me that trunk☆

 

「 何か 、 やけに大荷物だね ? ふうん 、 わざわざ今回の仕事 ...... 【 スター マイン 】 だっけ ? それのために 、 専用衣装をつくってきたの ? 」

 

This luggage is awfully big, huh? Hmm… So you went out of your way to pack these for this time’s job… ‘Star Mine’, right? So, for that, you made these special costumes?

「 『 Trickstar 』 と 『 Knights 』 のぶん 、 ぜんぶ ? 」

 

You made the costumes for Trickstar and Knights? All of them?

 

「 すっごい ! 一日かぎりのちょっとした仕事だっていうのに ~ 、 気合を入れすぎ ! あははは ☆ 」

 

Wow! Even though this is a minor job that’ll just last a day~! I’m totally psyched, now! Ahahaha ☆

 

章臣 「 大事は小事 、 どんな仕事にも手を抜かずに万全を期すのは良い心がけです 」

 

Kunugi: Important and unimportant--no matter what work it may be, leaving nothing up to chance and refusing to cut corners is quite sensible.

 

「 とはいえ無理は禁物ですよ 、 あんずさん 。 寝不足でしょう 、 目元が腫れぼったくなってますよ 」

 

However, you should refrain from working yourself too hard, Anzu-san. You haven’t gotten much sleep, correct? You have dark circles under your eyes.

 

スパル 「 あはは ☆ 夏休みなんだから休もうよ 、 あんず ! あんずっぽいけどさ ~ ? 」

 

Subaru: Ahaha ☆ It’s summer vacation, so relax, Anzu! Well, that’s just like you, I guess~?

 

「 いつも俺らのためにがんばってくれて 、 嬉しいし , 難いけどねり 」

 

You’re always working hard for us. I’m really happy, but it’s probably pretty hard on you.

 

「 働き過ぎると鬱になるよ ~ 、 さいあく過労死するよ 。 たまには 、 気い抜こうよ 」

 

If you work too hard, you’ll get all depressed~! Worst-case scenario, you end up dying from overworking. You should relax sometimes.

 

「 あんずがいなくなったら 、 嫌だな 。 本人はそれで満足かもしれないけど 、 残された人間の気持ちも考えてほしいよね 」

 

I hate it when Anzu-chan’s not around… You might be content, yourself, but I'd like you to think about the feelings of the people that get left behind, okay?

 

章臣 ( あぁ …… 。 そういえば 、 この子は 『 明星先輩 』 の …… )

 

Kunugi: (Aah… That reminds me, this boy is ‘Akehoshi-senpai’s…)

 

スパル 「 それにさ ~ 、 何か 【 スターマイン 】 って夏祭りみたいな感じなんでしょ ? 」

 

Subaru: Anyways~, doesn’t this ‘Star Mine’ thing have kinda a summer festival feeling to it?

 

「 屋台とかあるかもっ 、 みんなで巡ろうね ! わたあめ食べ たりとかさ ! ワクワクする ~ ☆ 」

 

They might have stalls! Let's all walk around! And eat things like cotton candy! I’m so excited~☆

 

「 たっぷり遊ぼうよ 、 夏休みなんだし ! あははは ☆ 」

 

Let’s play a bunch, since it’s the summer festival! Ahaha ☆ 

 

章臣 「 あくまで仕事が最優先ですからね 。 のろのろ歩いていないで急ぎなさい 、 明星くん 、 あんずさんも ………… 」

 

Kunugi: Work is your top priority until the end of the day. Akehoshi-kun, Anzu-san, please hurry and don’t walk so slowly...

 

「 時間は待ってくれ ませんよ 、 いつだってね 」

 

Time waits for no man, and it never has.

「 後悔しないように全力で青春を駆け抜けなさい 」

 

Go through your youth with your best efforts, so that you are not left with any regrets.
