Tsukasa: It is my victory ♪
 

 

司：　「お姉さま・・・・・・あっ、　すみません。　転校生さんは、　Chessにおいてもお優しいのですね」

 

Tsukasa: My lady... Ah, excuse me. Transfer student-san, playing Chess with you is quite delightful.

司：　「私にあえて勝たせて、　花を持たせてくださったのですね♪」

 

Tsukasa: As you graciously allowed me to win, all the credit goes to you ♪

 

司：　「あれっ、　伝わっていませんか。　ちぇ、　ちぇす・・・・・・です。　この発音でしたら、　通じますでしょうか？」

 

Tsukasa: Oh, do you not understand? Che... C-Chess... Can you understand it if I pronounce like so?*

 

 

司：　「どうしましたか、　笑っておられますけど。　私、　またピントのずれたことを言っているでしょうか？」

 

Tsukasa: Did I say something odd? You're laughing. Did I miss the point when I said such a thing?

 

司：　「ふむ。　転校生さんは言葉数がすくないので、　読解力を要しますね」

 

Tsukasa: Hmph. Since transfer student-san's vocabulary is small, it shall require some guesswork.

 

 

司：　「あぁ、　すみません。　『お姉さま』　って呼んでもいいよ、　ということでしたか」

 

Tsukasa: Aah, I apologize. I should refer to you as 'my lady', was that it? 

 

司：　「私はどうも、　自分の英語の発音にコンプレックスがあるようです。　すこし、　気にしすぎでしょうね」

 

Tsukasa: No matter how hard I try, it seems my English pronunciation remains quite complex. It seems to worry me a little too much. 

司：　「お言葉、　たいへん有り難いです。　お姉さまは、　お優しいですね♪」

 

Tsukasa: I am sincerely grateful for your words. My lady is quite kind ♪

 

司：　「おほん。　ともあれ、　お姉さまとChessの対局をするのは久方ぶりですが・・・」

 

Tsukasa: Ahem. Anyways, it has been a long time since I last played chess with my lady, but...

 

司：　「きちんとRuleを把握し、　初心者から中級者へと歩を進めようとしている段階のようですね」

 

Tsukasa: As you understand the rules precisely, it appears that you are taking steps to progress from a beginner to an intermediate student. 

司：　「素晴らしいです、　お姉さまは日に日に成長されているのですね♪」

 

Tsukasa: Wonderful! My lady has been improving with each passing day ♪
 

 

司：　「何も知らないからこそ知ろうと努力し、　また他者に教えを請う」

 

Tsukasa: Making an effort to learn something precisely because you do not understand it, and asking others to enlighten you...

 

司：　「お姉さまは知らざるを知り、　変に意地を張らずに己の無知を表明しています」

司：　「右も左もわからぬこのアイドルたちの学び舎で・・・・・・・夢ノ咲学院で、　お姉さまが愛されているのもそれが理由のひとつでしょう」

 

Tsukasa: Not knowing left from right in this idols' school.... That is probably one of the reasons why my lady is so beloved in Yumenosaki Academy.

 

司：　「興味のあることを、　あるいは必要のあることを知ろうと望み、　前のめりになって学ぶその姿勢・・・・・・」

 

Tsukasa: That desire to learn things you are interested in, or things that you might need, the disposition of one who is eager to learn...
 

 

司：　「賞賛に値します、　『わからないから』　と思考停止もしませんしね」

 

Tsukasa: You deserve praise for never stopping to think 'It's because I don't know'.

司：　「そんなお姉さまだからこそ、　誰もが応援したいと、　協力したいと望みます。　もちろん、　私も。　お姉さまを評価し、　愛しておりますよ」

司：　「ひとに何を教えるのは、　快いです。　私のような若輩者が、　生意気ですけど」

 

Tsukasa: Teaching people is quite pleasant. I'm quite young, but I'm cheeky.

 

司：　「お姉さまは身の程を知り、　真面目にこちらの話を聞いてくださいます」

 

Tsukasa: My lady knows my place, so kindly listen attentively to what I have to say.

 

司：　「我が侭な、　突出した個性をもつがゆえに自我を肥大化させたものがおおい夢ノ咲学院において・・・・・・。　 希有な、　特質といえるでしょう♪」

 

Tsukasa: In contrast, there are many here at Yumenosaki Academy who have engorged egos, due to their selfish, ostentatious personalities...... So one could say that you possess a rare characteristic, don't you agree? ♪

 

 

司：　「ともあれ。　話を戻しますと、　Chessを題材としたLiveが近日中に開催予定なのです」

 

Tsukasa: Anyways. Let us return to the topic at hand. A Chess themed Live will be held in the near future.

 

司：　「Live・・・・・・・Dream　Idol　Festivalですね、　ドリフェス、　と略すのが一般的でしょうか。　発音は、　これで通じていますか？」

 

Tsukasa: Live... a Dream Idol Festival, is it not? Dreamfes is the typical abbreviation, correct? Can you understand my pronunciation? 

 

司：　「はい。　でゅ、　でゅ・・・・・　【デュエル】と、　そう題されるドリフェスです」

 

Tsukasa: Understood. The Dreamfes is entitled… D.. Du.. Duel.

 

司：　「ご存知ないでしょうね、　ドリフェスと十把一絡げに言っても膨大な種類がありますから」

 

Tsukasa: Perhaps you would not be acquainted with it, since there are a sweeping variety of Dreamfes.

 

司：　「【デュエル】　は伝統あるドリフェスで、　まだ　『SS』　『B1』　などの・・・・・・」

 

Tsukasa: 'Duel' is a traditional DreamFes, but still has ranks, like 'SS', 'B1', and so forth...

 

司：　「生徒会がドリフェスのRankを設定する以前から存在した、　格式高いLiveのひとつです」

 

Tsukasa: It has existed long before the student council bestowed Ranks upon Dreamfes. It is quite the prestigious Live.

 

司：　「あえてRankで表現すると、　生徒会や学院が許可をしていない非公式の野良試合・・・・・・・」

 

Tsukasa: Undesignated with a particular Rank, it is an unofficial, unsanctioned battle; authorized by neither the student council nor the academy. 

 

 

司：　「『B1』　ということになるでしょうね、　やや特殊なドリフェスです

 

Tsukasa: I suppose it would be a 'B1' rank DreamFes, a slightly unique Dreamfes.

 

司：　「空手部にも、伝統的なドリフェスである　【龍王戦】　というものがありますね」

 

Tsukasa: It seems that the Karate club also holds a traditional DreamFes. 'Dragon King War', correct?

 

司：　「いろんな集団がそれぞれ、　そういった伝統行事のようなドリフェスを長年つづけてきたのです」

 

Tsukasa: Various other groups have had their own traditional DreamFes' for many years.

 

司：　「古いものでは夢ノ咲学院の開闢から、　新しいものでもドリフェスにRankが設定される前から存在する・・・・・」　

 

Tsukasa: They are old things, harking from Yumenosaki’s beginning, and as such, existed before Dreamfes were given Ranks.

 

司：　「伝統的なドリフェスが、　無数に存在するのです」

 

Tsukasa: There exist a myriad of traditional Dreamfes.

 

司：　「それぞれの部活動や委員会、　『ユニット』　などが先輩がたから受け継ぎ、長年に渡ってつづけてきたドリフェスです」

 

Tsukasa: From their respective clubs, committees, and 'units', such Dreamfes are continued over the years as they are passed down from the senpai to the next generation.

 

司：　「生徒会によるドリフェスのRankづけに伴い、　そういった伝統的なドリフェスのおおくは廃れていますけど」

 

Tsukasa: As a consequence of our reliance on the Dreamfes Ranks assigned by the student council, many brands of those traditional Dreamfes are going out of fashion.

 

司：　「ええ、　そういうことです」

 

Tsukasa: Yes, that is how it is.

 

司：　「かつて私が所属する　『Knights』　には　【デュエル】　と呼ばれる、伝統的な、　特別なドリフェスがあったようなのです」

 

Tsukasa: It seems that ‘Knights’, to which I belong, once held a traditional, unique Dreamfes entitled 'Duel'.

 

司：　「私は　『Knights』　のなかでは新参者のため、　恥ずかしながら　【デュエル】　など初耳でしたが」

 

Tsukasa: Since I am a newcomer among 'Knights', I am embarrassed to have never heard of 'Duel', however...

 

司：　「資料などを漁っていていて、　偶然それを知ったのです」

 

Tsukasa: While I was searching for information, I happened upon it by chance.

 

司：　「『Knights』　の先輩がたは、　あまり過去のことを語ってくださらないのでね。　まったく存じあげなかったのですが」

 

Tsukasa: My seniors in 'Knights' do not talk much of the past... My, I can't propose such a thing, but...
