司：　「ともあれ　【デュエル】　は　『Knights』　が誇る伝統的なドリフェスで、　むかしは毎月のように行われていたようなのですが・・・・・・」

 

Tsukasa: In any case, 'Duel' used to be a traditional Dreamfes, one that 'Knights' took great pride in. In former times, it seems it was held every month, but...

 

司：　「今は、　なぜかすっかり忘れ去られています」

 

Tsukasa: Now, it has been completely forgotten.

 

司：　「【デュエル】　とは、　『Knights』　が指名した他の　『Unit』　・・・・・・」

 

Tsukasa: With 'Duel', 'Knights' nominates another 'Unit'….

 

司：　「ゆ、　ゆ、　『ユニット』　ですね、　他の　『ユニット』　と一対一の対決をするという主旨になっています」

 

Tsukasa: U-U-Unit, correct? It has come to mean a one-on-one battle between two units.

 

司：　「それぞれの　『ユニット』　をChessの白と黒の陣営に塗り分けて、　自分自身を駒になぞらえて、決闘する。　それが、　【デュエル】　の概要です」

 

Tsukasa: Each 'Unit' is clad in black or white, respectively, akin to opposing sides of a chess game. One likens themselves to chess pieces, and battles. In short, that is the gist of 'Duel'.

 

司：　「　【デュエル】　の詳細はまだ調べが足りずに曖昧なのですが、基本的にChessになぞらえられるようです」

 

Tsukasa: I have not fully examined the details of Duel, and it is slightly ambiguous, but essentially, it seems to be an allegory for Chess.

 

司：　「衣装も、　舞台も、　Ruleも、　何もかも」

 

Tsukasa: The costumes, the stage, the rules, everything.

 

司：　「互いに駒を落としあい、　Kingの駒、　つまり王者を・・・・・」

 

Tsukasa: Together, pieces drop. The King piece, or in other words, the champion…
 

司：　「おそらく各々の　『ユニット』　のLeaderをもはや逃げ場もなくなるまで追いつめれば、　あるいは討ち取れば勝利」

 

Tsukasa: Presumably, each ‘Unit’’s Leader can no longer escape until they are cornered, driven off, or victorious.


司：　「そんな　【デュエル】　で連戦連勝し、　他の　『ユニット』　を蹴落としつづけることで・・・・・・」

 

Tsukasa: If a succession of victories is achieved in Duel, then one may continue kicking other units down…

 

司：　「我ら　『Knights』　は、　夢ノ咲学院が誇る強豪として頭角を現したようですね」

 

Tsukasa: Our 'Knights' seem to have emerged as an arrogant powerhouse of Yumenosaki Academy...

 

司： 「紳土として、　正々堂々、　Chessの流儀で勝負する」

 

Tsukasa: As gentlemen, within an honorable battle, fighting in the style of Chess.

 

司：　「そして勝利し、　栄誉と名声を得る。　それが　『Knights』　の歴史でした、　私はそれを知ったとき感歴動で打ち震えましたよ」

 

Tsukasa: As well as winning, and obtaining honor and fame. That was all in 'Knights's history. When I discovered such a thing, I became quite tremulous.

 

 

司：　「我ら　『Knights』　は先日の　【DDD】　において、　『Trickstar』　に対して卑劣な策を弄しながらも敗北しました」

 

Tsukasa: Our 'Knights', on the day of DDD, carried out a repulsive scheme against 'Trickstar', yet still lost.

 

司：　「たいへん、　不名誉な事態です」

 

Tsukasa: My, such a disgraceful situation.

 

司：　「私は、　その汚名を返上したい。　恥辱を濯ぎ、前へ進みたいのです」

 

Tsukasa: I want to bring us honor. To cleanse us of our shame, we must move forward.

 

 

司：　「他の　『Knights』　のMemberがどうお教えか知りませんが、　すくなくても私は現状に我慢なりません」

 

Tsukasa: I do not know what the other members of 'Knights' have told you, but for me, at least, my patience for the current situation has worn thin.

 

 

司：　「ここまで言えば、　おわかりでしょうか。　私たち　『Knights』　は、　因縁ある　『Trickstar』　に　【デュエル】　での対決を望みます」

 

Tsukasa: Have you understood what I have said thus far? I wish for us ‘Knights’ to battle against that fated ‘Trickstar’ in Duel.

 

司：　「そして真っ向から打ち破り、　勝利する」

 

Tsukasa: And then, we shall completely destroy them, resulting in our victory..

 

司：　「そんなことで私たちが　【DDD】　で行った悪事が帳消しになるとは思えませんが、　ある種の禊ぎになることを祈っております」

 

Tsukasa: I do not believe we can atone for our grave crimes at ‘DDD’ in such a fashion, but I do hope that it serves as a kind of ‘purification ceremony’.

 

司：　「お姉さまは、　『Trickstar』　の皆さんとご縁があるようなのですね」

 

Tsukasa: My lady, it seems you have quite strong ties with 'Trickstar', do you not?

 

 

 

司：　「それを伝えていただこうと思ったのですよ、　私たち　『Knights』　からの挑戦状を受け取っていただきたい」

 

Tsukasa: I had intended for you to pass a message along; that 'Knights' seeks to issue them a challenge.

 

司：　「だからこうして、　昼休みに私のために時間を割いていただいたのですが。　・・・・・・・まぁ、　その必要はなかったみたいですね」

Tsukasa: Thusly, I had implored you to spare time from your lunch break for my sake. Well, it seems that perhaps it was not necessary, was it?

 

 

スバル：　「うわっ、　こっち見た！　俺たちに気づいてるみたいだぞ、　あいつ！」

真：　「うう、　明星くんが騒ぐから～！」

北斗：　「『浮気だ、　あんずちゃんが浮気だ！』　っていちばん騒いでいたのはおまえだぞ、　遊木」

 

Hokuto: You're the one who made the most noise, with your 'She's cheating! Anzu-chan's cheating!', Yuuki.
 

 

司：　「まったく、　それで隠れているつまりだったのですか」

 

Tsukasa: My, are they really trying to hide like that?

 

司：　「あえて指摘するのも失礼かと思って黙っておりましたが、　頭隠して尻隠さずですよ」

 

Tsukasa: I had kept quiet simply because I thought it rude to dare point them out, but they are making quite the fools of themselves.

 

司：　「盗み聞きとはね。　こんな間抜け・・・・・・・失敬、　お上品ではない方々に敗北したのかと思うと情けないですが。　聞いていたなら、　話は早いです」

 

Tsukasa: They're eavesdropping. What idiots..... pardon me,

It is not becoming of me to think such things about gentlemen who have defeated us, after hearing this so soon in our earlier chat.

司：　「不肖、　この朱桜司が　『Knights』　を代表して　『Trickstar』　に決闘を申しこみます」

 

Tsukasa: Humbly, this Tsukasa Suou, on behalf of 'Knights', shall entreat 'Trickstar' for a duel.

 

司：　「片手袋を投げつける作法は省きますが、　あえて無礼な物言いをいたしますと・・・・・。　首を洗って待っていてください、　『Trickstar』　の皆さま♪」

 

Tsukasa: I am breaching the etiquette of issuing a challenge, but if I may dare to say something discourteous... You shall get what you deserve, gentlemen of 'Trickstar' ♪
